IAF PROJECT

IAF PROJECT

THE NEW STRUCTURE CABLING SYSTEM OF THE IAF HAS A 25-YEAR WARRANTY

The new cabling has replaced the old network wiring, which was over 20 years old. It combines fiber optic, state of the art copper and modern connection techniques that reach each work station in the IAF offices and substantially improve data transmission, communication methodology and speed to optimize the response time to each beneficiary.

Also, the new network enables affiliates to obtain answers to their questions through the phone or the Internet, without the need for transport. In this way, the Institute counts with a modern IT network, developed with quality standards, and is now at the forefront of technology in this matter.

The project was executed between February and June this year, and it had the participation of the Technology and Logistics Deputy Management’s staff. Among other materials, over 80 kilometers of copper cables, 800 meters of fiber optic and 70 consolidation points were used.

In September, Zettalan received an international award for the work done, granted in the State of Bahia, Brazil, by Furukawa, a Japanese corporate group that works in the area of Telecommunications and Electronics.
